Meanwhile, here below is a collage of Nora Aunor and the Black Nazarene image in Quiapo Church. The image of Nora Aunor as re-imagined interpretation in oil on a canvas portrait painting by Francis Tanseco titled "Triumph and Tribulation" which is in turned inspired from a scene in her film "Muling Umawit Ang Puso".
Please note that the original image of the Black Nazarene was brought to the Philippines from Mexico in 1606 and has been housed at Quaipo Church since 1767. It was brought to the Philippines by Augustinian Recollect friars. It is interesting to know that the current Pope Leo XIV is an Augustinian.
