Calling Julius Babao, please help with this Art Hunt of Nora paintings by Cocoy Laurel.

Ako po ay nananawagan kay sir Julius Babao to help me find the missing Cocoy Laurel paintings. Why Julius Babao? Well, lagi ako nanunuod ng YouTube posts nya and alam ko na base sa mga interviews niya ay mahilig din siya sa mga art work. He is an art enthusiast and also an art collector. In short, he is an Art Ambassador.

So sana nga ay makarating itong panawagan ko sa kanya, beke nemen!

Isang magandang regalo po ito sir Julius Babao hindi lang po sa mga Noranians but also to all Art Enthusiasts and specially sa Culture & Arts ng Filipino.

Why is culture and the arts are vital to the Filipino nation?

Because it helps shape our identity, it also foster understanding and furthermore contributes to economic and social well-being.

Many perhaps is not aware that all artist of every nations are in their creative ways are every nations "Ambassador". Why? Because it is what they portray that is an indirect representation of their respective nations. Unconsciously, what they create connects people across borders and persuasions that promotes dialogue. 

Art reflects and influences societal values and norms. A dark art creates a dark nation. A very dark art creates a doomed nation. A dark subject of an art shapes the norms of a society to such society that will lead to conflict or distrust and eventually destabilize democratic principle. 

There are many artist now that are channels of dark agenda. Perhaps knowingly or unknowingly. One such person is he who should not be named who desecrated the "Lord's Prayer" in his performing arts hullabaloo. When one is desecrating the principle of God and or religion is desecrating himself.

Art is a significant economic driver, creating jobs and generating revenue. One example of this is ABBA from Sweden. They probably did not directly account for Sweden's GDP however their popularity surely must have boosted tourism, increase interest in Swedish products, facilitated business for Swedish entrepreneur and surely must have help Swedish music industry.

So sana ay makatulong sa atin si sir Julius Babao in the search for some Cocoy Laurel paintings na si Nora Aunor ang musa.

In short, hindi lang po pang decoration ang mga painting or other arts; sila ay gumuguhit ng ating estorya, sumusulat ng ating kasarinlan at pagkakakilanlan. 

Ang sining ay siyang pangunahing taga sulat, taga mulat, taga guhit ng pagkakabuklod ng ating lipunan. Ito din ay tagatulak ng kaunlaran ng ekonomiya.

 Just like yours truly, Filipino actor, recording artist and painter Mr. Victor "Cocoy" Laurel who sadly passed away June 14, 2025 have also been inspired to paint Nora Aunor as his muse. How many times did he painted Nora Aunor?  I am intrigued coz I am a fan of other painters work especially if it is Nora Aunor as muse in a painting. Nora Aunor in "Manghuhula" to start shooting, says Mari Cusi.

 The puzzle is coming together slowly but surely. This info solves the question of a Cocoy Laurel painting of Nora Aunor. This blog is dedicated to a great Filipino painter Cocoy Laurel and our beautiful and favorite muse Ms. Nora Aunor. Sobrang mag-e-enjoy kayo sa mababasa niyo below and ang lakas sobra ng kilig factor nito. By the way, as an aside info, "Kilig factor" is a Filipino phenomenon.
