Another Cocoy Laurel's missing Nora painting?

I just come across some delightful piece of info when I read a comment on Pinas Unlmtd post on facebook (please click here for Pinas Unlmtd facebook page) about Cocoy Laurel's missing Nora Aunor portrait that was painted in 1970.

In the comment section, the person who made the comment is saying that he or she is aware of another Cocoy Laurel painting with Nora Aunor as muse wearing a Filipiniana.

I am not aware of this and equally unsure if it really exist but if this is true..., (drumroll here then can someone shout "Tadannnn" please?) then it is another exciting treasure hunting season for art lovers like me. Although deep within me, being an admirer of the artwork of Cocoy Laurel, I so wanted this to be true. Sana nga totoo ito!

Of course I have my reservation about this info of a Cocoy Laurel painting of Nora Aunor in Filipiniana supposedly painted in the late 70's?

What makes me ecstatic about this Laurel 'Filipiniana' painting of Nora Aunor is the fact that I also painted and portrayed Nora Aunor in 'Filipiniana' in my first ever Nora Aunor inspired series of painting titled Filipinism, La Aunor, Woman (clcik here for some info) This series have been exhibited in London and also have been featured in several video interview.

I wish someone out there have some more info about this other than the commenter...and if someone out there have a photo of this Nora Aunor painting by Cocoy Laurel in Filipiniana, please send me a copy of the photo.

If indeed this is true then this will count as the fourth (4th) known painting of Cocoy Laurel on the subject of Nora Aunor. How interesting indeed!

Here is a list so far of Cocoy Laurel's Nora painting.

1970 - Nora portrait featured in the movie "Lollipops and Roses". (MISSING).

1990's - Nora portrait with flowers.

2025 - Nora Aunor portrait given to Lot during Nora's wake.

Late 1970's - allegedly Nora painting in Filipinian. (UNCONFIRMED - MISSING TOO).

Now, let us reveal where the information of a Cocoy Laurel's Nora Aunor in Filipiniana painting. Her name is Josephine Jahrling and here is her facebook profile.

Josephine; in her comment to the Pinas Unltd video posted this statement below.

"Mayroong painting si Cocoy na naka Maria Clara si AG nuong late ‘70’s o early 80’s. Naka display iyon sa wall niya sa living room nuon. Am I right?"

I think this is great news if this is true.

A Cocoy Laurel painting excites me. I am indeed a big fan of his artwork.
