If the artist lived to paint another masterpiece.
Is the end of the painter's muse?
The beginning for the artist's blues?

What if Cocoy Laurel lived for another decade or two? He would have created many more masterpieces. He have promise to do just that at the wake.

When Nora Aunor died, Cocoy Laurel was in a fragile state. Not even that fragility would stop him from giving honor to Nora Aunor - the very person who inspired him for life. He proudly stated that.

During the wake of Nora Aunor, while the funeral service was being held for her mortal remains. Family and friends gathered to pay their last respects. Cocoy Laurel among them was interviewed and he stated and vowed during that interview that he will paint more Nora Aunor.

What could have been many more masterpieces with Nora Aunor as the muse would have given the audience more inspiration for many more generations with appreciation for the arts and culture.

Sayang! Sayang na sayang! Hindi na natin makikita pa ang mga obra ni Cocoy Laurel that imortalized his muse as a love personified.

And now, even his 1970 portrait of Nora Aunor is gone missing.

 Just like yours truly, Filipino actor, recording artist and painter Mr. Victor "Cocoy" Laurel who sadly passed away June 14, 2025 have also been inspired to paint Nora Aunor as his muse. How many times did he painted Nora Aunor?  I am intrigued coz I am a fan of other painters work especially if it is Nora Aunor as muse in a painting. As far as I am aware, Cocoy Laurel might have painted Nora Aunor three times since 1970 till his passing in 2025? Nora Aunor in "Manghuhula" to start shooting, says Mari Cusi.

Ms. Marie Cusi and "Manghuhula" screenplay. Ms. Mari Cusi, a number one Noranian, a mover  and organizer of and in several Nora Aunor fans club, and a personal friend to Philippines National Artist for Broadcast and Film Nora Aunor have confirmed that Bong Lozano's "Manghuhula" screenplay will start shooting immediately after Nora's angioplasty. "Sipag talaga ni Ate GUY" says Marie Cusi on her facebook post immediately after the passing of Ms. Nora Aunor on April 16, 2025.  The puzzle is coming together slowly but surely. This info solves the question of a Cocoy Laurel painting of Nora Aunor. This blog is dedicated to a great Filipino painter Cocoy Laurel and our beautiful and favorite muse Ms. Nora Aunor.
