Well, I was super excited to know that at least there were three paintings of Nora Aunor by my favorite painter Cocoy Laurel until my blog was published and is featured it in the now viral video blog by Pinas Unlmtd sa facebook at si Francis Tanseco sa YouTube na viral na din.,

Inspired with the photo of a missing painting I continued to blog and made this Cocoy Laurel's missing 1970 portrait painting of Nora Aunor. June 29, 2025 in the hope that this will get attention so that I can have some other people to help me with more info.

Inspired with the info that I have about Cocoy Laurel's 1970 missing painting of Nora Aunor, I mentioned in my blog about Nora Aunor - our Mona Lisa. June 29, 2025 to show that indeed Nora Aunor is a muse that is worthy of painter's canvas.


Fake News?

After few days blogging about the 1970 missing Cocoy Laurel painting of Nora Aunor, some people started accusing me that the info is fake news ergo Laurel 1970 painting of Nora is not fake news, PEP news reported it in 2011. July 01, 2025 is published to direct those who are misguided of evidence.

I blog Cocoy Laurel unrealized masterpieces. July 01, 2025 to express my wonderment of "what if's" if Cocoy Laurel did not pass away and created more Nora Aunor masterpieces.

Little did I know that Another Cocoy Laurel's missing Nora painting? July 02, 2025 would be posted after a Nora Aunor fan made a comment about a paintings existence which she herself saw way back in the 70's.

Then, another Nora Aunor fan contacted me to inform me of an article that was published showcasing the gift of an oil portrait to Nora Aunor by painter Cocoy Laurel which I blog titled Another painting (5th) by Cocoy Laurel of Nora Aunor surfaced today? July 05, 2025

CORPUS ARTIS OPUS. Cocoy Laurel's 'Body of Work' with Nora Aunor as muse.

Subsequenter, may bagong information na naman from a Nora Aunor fan Victoria Donato of Florida, USA stating that "Friends who have been to the Superstar's house/s often mentioned about Cocoy's paintings (take note that paintings is plural) prominently displayed at her living room."

Naturally, this is music to my ear however the question is how many paintings in total?

Victoria Donato continued to say that "in Superstar TV show every now and then from the 70's to the 80's, Cocoy would gift her paintings and sketches."

This shows that there are more Cocoy Laurel paintings and or sketches with Nora Aunor as muse is out there. 

"So it might be at least around 10" she concluded. 


There we go, there are at least ten (10) artwork of Cocoy Laurel with Nora Aunor as muse is out there. 

The question is where are these work of Cocoy Laurel?

Are most of them gone and never to be seen again?

 Just like yours truly, Filipino actor, recording artist and painter Mr. Victor "Cocoy" Laurel who sadly passed away June 14, 2025 have also been inspired to paint Nora Aunor as his muse. How many times did he painted Nora Aunor?  I am intrigued coz I am a fan of other painters work especially if it is Nora Aunor as muse in a painting. As far as I am aware, Cocoy Laurel might have painted Nora Aunor three times since 1970 till his passing in 2025? Nora Aunor in "Manghuhula" to start shooting, says Mari Cusi.

Ms. Mari Cusi, a number one Noranian, a mover  and organizer of and in several Nora Aunor fans club, and a personal friend to Philippines National Artist for Broadcast and Film Nora Aunor have confirmed that Bong Lozano's "Manghuhula" screenplay will start shooting immediately after Nora's angioplasty. "Sipag talaga ni Ate GUY" says Marie Cusi on her facebook post immediately after the passing of Ms. Nora Aunor on April 16, 2025. "Last April 8, twag sya" confirming that before Nora Aunor went into surgery for Angioplasty, she was asking "sis Marie, pls ask direk Bong when na shoot of Manghuhula this April?" to which Marie replied "Ate Guy, I can ask pero focus ka muna sa Angioplasty mo".  The puzzle is coming together slowly but surely. This info solves the question of a Cocoy Laurel painting of Nora Aunor. This blog is dedicated to a great Filipino painter Cocoy Laurel and our beautiful and favorite muse Ms. Nora Aunor. Sobrang mag-e-enjoy kayo sa mababasa niyo below and ang lakas sobra ng kilig factor nito. By the way, as an aside info, "Kilig factor" is a Filipino phenomenon.
