20 Cocoy Laurel paintings of Nora Aunor as muse?

 Maraming mga Noranians na ang ngayon nagsasabing maraming mga paintings and sketches ang ginawa ni Cocoy Laurel na si Nora Aunor ang musa mula pa noong 1970's till his passing in 2025.

Nagsimula ang search ko sa Cocoy Laurel's three paintings of Nora Aunor? June 24, 2025. Hindi ko naman akalain na lalalim pa ang mga information from many Nora Aunor fans who over the years are witness to Cocoy Laurel's history of Nora Aunor paintings.



Until Another painting (5th) by Cocoy Laurel of Nora Aunor surfaced today? July 05, 2025 as mentioned by another Noranian. Akalain mo na I thought 5 is already a lot for one man to paint his muse. Such devotion and love talaga.

Hindi pa man nakikita ang mga paintings ay eto na naman at may bagong information from another Noranian who followed Nora's life and knows pretty much a lot of info from the 70's onwards.

The information was highlighted to me once again by Victoria Donato and the source of info is Remy Repollo who posted the comment below,

"20 pc's na paintings ang nagawa ni Cocoy para kay Nora...sa balita noong dekada 80 ng lumipat ng bahay si Nora nawala ang 2 paintings na gawa ni Cocoy..."

Remy Repollo posted this comment sa fb group na The Timeless Nora Aunor.

As of this writing only two (2) paintings of Cocoy Laurel are known to exist and the rest are still unaccounted for.

Two paintings still exist out of twenty, this is truly an art hunting season to find the rest of the Cocoy Laurel paintings.

 Just like yours truly, Filipino actor, recording artist and painter Mr. Victor "Cocoy" Laurel who sadly passed away June 14, 2025 have also been inspired to paint Nora Aunor as his muse. How many times did he painted Nora Aunor?  I am intrigued coz I am a fan of other painters work especially if it is Nora Aunor as muse in a painting. As far as I am aware, Cocoy Laurel might have painted Nora Aunor three times since 1970 till his passing in 2025? Nora Aunor in "Manghuhula" to start shooting, says Mari Cusi.

Ms. Marie Cusi and "Manghuhula" screenplay. Ms. Mari Cusi, a number one Noranian, a mover  and organizer of and in several Nora Aunor fans club, and a personal friend to Philippines National Artist for Broadcast and Film Nora Aunor have confirmed that Bong Lozano's "Manghuhula" screenplay will start shooting immediately after Nora's angioplasty. "Sipag talaga ni Ate GUY" says Marie Cusi on her facebook post immediately after the passing of Ms. Nora Aunor on April 16, 2025. "Last April 8, twag sya" confirming that before Nora Aunor went into surgery for Angioplasty, she was asking "sis Marie, pls ask direk Bong when na shoot of Manghuhula this April?" to which Marie replied "Ate Guy, I can ask pero focus ka muna sa Angioplasty mo". Cocoy Laurel painting article found today c/o Isidra Reyes.

 The puzzle is coming together slowly but surely. This info solves the question of a Cocoy Laurel painting of Nora Aunor. This blog is dedicated to a great Filipino painter Cocoy Laurel and our beautiful and favorite muse Ms. Nora Aunor. Sobrang mag-e-enjoy kayo sa mababasa niyo below and ang lakas sobra ng kilig factor nito. By the way, as an aside info, "Kilig factor" is a Filipino phenomenon.
