Where are all the paintings that were created during the 1970's Nora Aunor show called "SUPERSTAR"?
Alam nyo po bang mayroon palang on the spot painting contest noon sa show mismo ni Nora Aunor? This is according to one Nora Aunor fan na si Victoria Donato sa kanyang message kay Francis Tanseco.
Photo collage below is from an old photograph; in black and white with word "SUPERSTAR" is the actual show name seen on TV and the colored paintings below are Francis Tanseco paintings Filipinism, La Aunor, Woman (clcik here for some info)
Nasaan na kaya ang mga paintings na ginawa mismo on air during the show "SUPERSTAR" of Nora Aunor?
According to Noranian na si Victoria Donato, "nung araw recall ko sa Superstar, early '70's nagpa-on the spot painting contest pa mismo sa show".
This is an interesting information because it shows that Nora Aunor at an early age during her teenage years have already an appreciation for the arts.
"Birthday nya yata nuon" said Victoria Donato. Superstar first aired in 1970 according to Wikipedia and Nora Aunor was only seventeen (17) years old at the time.
The show ran for 22 years, making it the longest-running musical variety show on Philippine primetime television.
Victoria Donato said that "Birthday nya yata nuon" pertaining to the on the spot painting contest with Nora Aunor as the participants muse. "In was participated in by notable professional portraitists" she added.
It would be interesting if a video of this "Superstar" episode will be surface showcasing the painting contest on live TV.
Here below is additional info from Victoria Donato, see screenshot below.
(screenshot here soon)
In conclusion, Victoria Donato said that "siguro around 1972-74 Superstar episode na yon. Dalaga pa si Ate Guy".
In relation to this information, it would appear that there are paintings of Nora Aunor painted by notable artists at the time which might still be around. I hope all of this painting will be found and put on exhibit and the artists will be named and celebrated.
Maraming salamat po mam Victoria Donato for this beautiful cultural information. Isa kang umalahukan.
