Nora Aunor paintings by Francis Tanseco finalist in NYC based online art competition this spring 2025. This is after more than twenty (20) years since it was painted and placed in public exhibition at several London locations, in  the United Kingdom. Praise be to God Almighty! Just FYI. My Nora Aunor painting series "Filipinism, La Aunor, Woman" have been chosen by a New York based "Art Collide" organization as FINALIST in the 2025 "Spring Open Theme" art competition and will be available very soon this spring 2025 for viewing online.  These paintings were exhibited at the Philippine Embassy in the United Kingdom in 2012. The series was also exhibited in several London locatons including Club 52 of UCLH - University College London Hospital's social club venue. The paintings were painted between 2003 to 2005. I was there in the audience during Nora Aunor's first major solo concert on May 18, 1991 at the Araneta Coliseum. Her birthday concert and her offering to her beloved fans. Oh what a night to remember! That night was magical, her tone was crisp, her diction was crystal clear, her voice was soothing, her singing was golden, the people were excited, happily clapping and enjoying the night of music. She was standing there in a circular stage with no back panel so that the audience can see her in all angle. A 360 degrees of visual. The lights seems to be emanating from her rather than from the spotlight projected into her. The masses who were there came not to watch a concert but to shower love to this star they collectively declared a - SUPERSTAR. The concert did not start on time as scheduled. In memoriam to National Artist Nora Aunor. Philippine Embassy in the United Kingdom hosted my exhibit which includes among others Nora Aunor inspired series titled "Filipinism, La Aunor, Woman" from 13-26 July 2012 titled "10" in celebration of my 10th year anniversary of painting. Lahing Kayumanggi, a London based Filipino folk dance group headed by Ronnie V Del Barrio honored my exhibit with folk dance performances. The exhibit was organized by Ronnie Del Barrio. The State Funeral and Necrological Services for National Artist for Film and Broadcast Art Ms. Nora Aunor will be held at the historic and fully restored Metropolitan Theater in Manila on April 22, 2025 (Tuesday) from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM.   Nora - THE BEST PUBLIC SERVANT WE NEVER HAD. (Francis Tanseco) For a Noranian like me, I always knew that Nora Aunor is selfless and kind and that is one virtue and perhaps should be the best requirement we would hope for in our public servant. How I wish our politicians are all Nora Aunor. In our current societal make up, we are overflowing with politicians and a handful of public servants. There is a big difference you know - go figure. For the mere Nora Aunor observer and especially those who have heard of Nora but does not necessarily pay attention to her human virtues, the amazing anecdote of people, fans and co-actors alike proclaiming to the world after her passing that she put herself last, that she is kind to a fault? her generous personality and her attention given to the lowly of society has proven that indeed she would have been the best public servant we never had and we never elected. "MANGHUHULA" (Oracle) a Bong Lozano screenplay based on a Quiapo Oracle was already given a BIG YES and approval by Ms Nora Aunor for filming this 2025. The shoot will begin in earnest as Ate Guy (Nora Aunor) wanted to start filming as soon as her angioplasty surgery is over. I am aware of this development because I have actively promoted this story to Ms Nora Aunor  through Mari Cusie and Epee Rafanan for many years as I believe that the story has the filmic element to become an iconic movie - dare I say like "Himala". Bong Lozano and I have a vision of strictly  "mata-mata (eye) acting" for this film since  mata mata acting is a Nora Aunor trademark.
