Nora Aunor paintings by Francis Tanseco finalist in NYC based online art competition this spring 2025. This is after more than twenty (20) years since it was painted and placed in public exhibition at several London locations, in the United Kingdom.
Praise be to God Almighty!
Just FYI. My Nora Aunor painting series "Filipinism, La Aunor, Woman" have been chosen by a New York based "Art Collide" organization as FINALIST in the 2025 "Spring Open Theme" art competition and will be available very soon this spring 2025 for viewing online.
These paintings were exhibited at the Philippine Embassy in the United Kingdom in 2012. The series was also exhibited in several London locatons including Club 52 of UCLH - University College London Hospital's social club venue.
The paintings were painted between 2003 to 2005.
A copy of these paintings were also exhibited at the Luneta park or Rizal park in 2014 attended by many Noranians. In fact, I gave a printed copy of one of the series to MOWELFUND museum back then.
Also, one of the paintings were used as back draft for the RADA - Royal Academy for Dramatic Arts in London, UK for their acting and film studies.
The painting series is a tribute to women, my mother - Rosalinda, to Nora Aunor's artistry and of course to the Filipino nation.
Here below is the photos I took of the email I received informing me that my submission is now officially a finalist.
Please pray for my art work to be given a prize if it is for the Greater Glory of God.
