A Nora-Cocoy love story documentary coming soon.

 Every now and then, a once in a generation love story unfolds which is greater than all the known love story we all have known. And this is a true to life love story.

Miss Connie Po who is spearheading this historical project asked me to write what I think about this up and coming documentary film, and here is what I think about it.

"Through three scores and five years of spotlights, songs and brushstrokes, a documentary (about Nora Aunor and Victor Laurel) is expected to capture the breathtaking, unconsummated odyssey amidst the backdraft of showbiz flashbulbs and the color of painting portraits.

A journey of an enigmatic Superstar and the shy, almost reclusive painter and heir to the Laurel family heritage who seems to worship her. From the gritty 1970's till their respective passing in 2025, from 17 to 71, born and died two months apart of the same year faithfully and fatefully, their bond defied the divide between her poverty-stricken roots and his inherited wealth.

While she (Nora Aunor) conquered the world's stages, he (Victor "Cocoy" Laurel) spent six decades capturing her soul on canvas - leaving behind a gallery of love and devotion that many call the greatest true-to-life love story ever told." Written by Francis Tanseco (as requested by Connie Po).


This documentary is something to look forward to, I am beyond excited to see this finally screened very soon.

Cocoy Laurel's three paintings of Nora Aunor?

 Just like yours truly, Filipino actor, recording artist and painter Mr. Victor "Cocoy" Laurel who sadly passed away June 14, 2025 have also been inspired to paint Nora Aunor as his muse. How many times did he painted Nora Aunor?  I am intrigued coz I am a fan of other painters work especially if it is Nora Aunor as muse in a painting. As far as I am aware, Cocoy Laurel might have painted Nora Aunor three times since 1970 till his passing in 2025? Is this missing "Nora in Filipiniana" by Cocoy Laurel???

 In search of an answer. If anyone knows, please contact me. TIA. Eto po ba ay isang painting? Is this a painting or just a photo? The blog below with a link is a photo of actor John Rendez with the painting in the background. Does this mean that this painting exist and is in the house of Nora Aunor? NORA AUNOR - Cocoy Laurel's "Mona Lisa"?

 Did Cocoy Laurel painted Nora Aunor to rival Mona Lisa in 1970? As far as I know, Cocoy Laurel have painted a Nora Aunor portrait about three times.  Click here for info of the three paintings with Nora Aunor as muse by Cocoy Laurel.
