Knowing Walter Navarro.
I have come across Walter Navarro perhaps during the advent of fast internet or thereafter. Before that, I was not aware of him since I was but a little child when he became famous.
In 2014, I have learned that he made a movie titled "STARDOOM". A story of every dreamers from all walks of life who wished to became famous.
You can watch it here on facebook or here in YouTube with Cinema One channel.
Stardoom and Lino Brocka.
"STARDOOM" is listed at the Vienna International Film Festival.
It is a film by the great director Lino Brocka - a Filipino filmmaker who was posthumously awarded a National Artist for Film in 1997. Brocka is well known for his socially conscious films that mostly focuses and depicts the struggles of marginalized.
His challenging Marcos dictatorship made him a hero to many. He is also a social activist mainly fighting for freedom of expression and human rights in the Philippines.
In my book, this movie is perhaps the greatest film that Lino Brocka ever directed. The movie which also starred Lolita Rodriguez is a must see and how I wish that this film will be re-imagined to today's production. It is my belief that Nora Aunor and Lolita Rodriguez are both equally excellent leaning to Lolita Rodriguez being greater.

I instantly became an admirer after his convincing acting which gives out the sentiments of adulation.
I haven't met him obviously but if I had I would asked him why he entered showbusiness and he would probably say "acting gives me motivation and I love it". This quote which I wrote here seems to emanate from him spiritually.
