 I wrote this song as a prayer dedicated to my beloved the Philippines. I am praying that God Save The Philippines from the evil Marcos/Romualdez family.  In a world full of injustice, God wants us all to be our brothers keepers. In a world full of hate, God wants us all to serve others and be kind. Not an easy task in a world of the survival of the fittest. I wrote this poem which I would like to be made into a song, and if there are composers out there who would volunteer to put a melody to this, then this will be splendid.  In 1992, apart from being busy preparing for graduation and reviewing for the Philippines Nursing Licensure Exam in Manila, the Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul who runs Concordia College in Paco, Manila, in the Philippines tapped me to play in a musical taking the lead role as St. Vincent de Paul. The musical was written and directed by Fr. James Reuter. A great director and scriptwriter if I may say so. If Fr. Reuter was not a priest, I bet he would have made many great films and classics and perhaps would have become a great Hollywood director.  Photo above is Francis Tanseco as St. Vincent de Paul. I have many great memories of high school, it is a favorite chapter of my student years. It was a more nonchalant, like a whirlwind of emotions and experiences. My first crush, - a girl and a boy, the first experience of anxiety, the butterflies in my stomach, the beautiful emotion when you see the person you are infatuated with. High school to me was indeed a mix of excitement, and self-discovery, not to mention a lot of awkwardness. I felt that I thrive well in high school, in fact I only completed high school in three years. I bypass the 3rd year due to my age as a result of a challenging childhood experience in general and being late for high school in particular due to the many fighting happening to my parents which resulted to my erratic life as a student in elementary level. This story is for another time. High school have so many memories, like winning in an art competition.  Before singer Madonna have worn her iconic Cone Bra in her 1990's Blonde Ambition Tour, there was a Nora Aunor and yes it was a Filipino icon Nora Aunor who first wore the iconic cone bra design. Before Jean Paul Gaultier designed his cone bra, it was a Filipino who first designed that iconic cone bra for a Filipino Superhero called Super G which stars Nora Aunor. Super G was first released October 19, 1973. Nora Aunor wore that iconic Cone Bra seventeen (17) years earlier before Madonna did in 1990.
