 Circa 1970. Cocoy Laurel painted Nora Aunor in a portrait. This painting is missing.  I wasn't aware of this painting until after the death of Cocoy Laurel. I have become an admirer of the artirstry of Cocoy Laurel because of his Nora Aunor paintings. As for yours truly, I also painted Nora Aunor as my muse in several series of paintings. I feel for Cocoy Laurel because we both have Nora Aunor as our muse in a portrait. Below is a collage of my portrait of Nora Aunor and Cocoy Laurel's missing portrait of Nora Aunor. Some of us never really cry. Grief is a privilege. Not to love in life a sacrilege. You never really lived if you haven't truly loved. Grief is a privilege. How can you cry if there was no love in the goodbye? The only reason for living is loving. At the end of darkness, only love remains. How can one grief if they never loved or felt love at all? Why is it that grief is personal for some even if the person is not their own? To grief is to have love, loved and be loved.  Did Cocoy Laurel painted Nora Aunor to rival Mona Lisa in 1970?  Just like yours truly, Filipino actor, recording artist and painter Mr. Victor "Cocoy" Laurel who sadly passed away June 14, 2025 have also been inspired to paint Nora Aunor as his muse. How many times did he painted Nora Aunor?  I am intrigued coz I am a fan of other painters work especially if it is Nora Aunor as muse in a painting. As far as I am aware, Cocoy Laurel might have painted Nora Aunor three times since 1970 till his passing in 2025?
